Individual Therapy

Virtual therapy in California and Nevada | Dr. Norma Ramirez, Psychologist

Your emotions feel overwhelming despite all your efforts.

Whether you are in California or Nevada, I can help you understand your past, your inner world, and emotional landscape to help you find the peace you've been yearning for.

You have the success and admiration many strive for, yet inside you feel deeply overwhelmed and unfulfilled.

You find yourself asking: Why are simple tasks so hard? Why do I struggle when life seems so effortless for everyone else?

You tell yourself you shouldn't feel this way, but the feeling won’t lift. Some days you push through; other days, it feels like you’re drowning in plain sight.

That quiet, exhausting tension between how your life looks and how it truly feels is exactly why you’re here.

At All Good Things, I provide virtual therapy in California and Nevada to help you understand your thoughts, feelings, and why you struggle even though you seem to have it all together. You'll learn to swim and have the calm and peace that you're looking for.

Drowning in plain sight might look like:

  • Restlessness, pacing, fidgeting

  • Not being able to sleep or sleeping too much

  • Sleeping but still feeling exhausted the next morning

  • Feeling like at any moment, your emotions will spill over

  • Being easily annoyed or snapping at others

  • Feeling like you're constantly in a bad mood

  • You keep thinking about past events wishing you could change them

  • You feel like you have to take care of others and neglect your needs

  • You keep saying "yes" even when it's already too much

  • You feel all over the place, disorganized, and forgetful

These are signs that your body and nervous system have been working on overtime for far too long. They are letting you know that you need rest and safety.

At All Good Things, I'll help you create an inner roadmap with your thoughts, feelings, and patterns. You'll gain new skills to attain that safety and peace you desire and start feeling like yourself again.

Individual Therapy is:

the "place" where you don't have to pretend to have it all figured out. Here, I get to know you: your past, upbringing, life experiences, and how you make sense of your world. You'll learn what you're feeling, how those feelings show up in your body, and why you do, what you do.

You'll learn to reconnect with your body and recognize what safety and calm feel like. By understanding yourself, you'll gain the confidence to make the choices that are most authentic to you.

As a licensed psychologist, I use integrative and holistic approaches to tailor therapy to your needs.

With time, you'll begin to feel more in control of your emotions, your decisions and your life.

Areas of Support

An Embodied Approach

Reconnect with your body by learning to identify your emotions physically, be with them compassionately, and release them with intention.

Find healing for old wounds, rebuild a trusting relationship with yourself and others, and create a lasting sense of safety, paving your way back to a life that feels truly your own.

Find relief from the worries of anxiety, social anxiety, or OCD. You can learn to manage your fears and reclaim a sense of calm, even when they feel at their most intense.

Together, we’ll use an integrative and holistic lens to understand your history, emotions, and patterns. This path leads to healing old wounds, cultivating deep clarity and strength, and empowering you to create the lasting change you desire.

Heal the wounds and patterns behind the cycle, helping you move from sadness, anger, numbness, and hopelessness toward a renewed zest for life, true contentment, and inner peace.

Whether you're in a helping profession or have been impacted by a loved one's trauma, it's time to gently address your own wounds and find the healing you deserve.

Pioneering a career path in your family comes with the heavy and invisible work of bridging different worlds. Fulfilling everyone's expectations has left you feeling lost. Let's focus on what you need to heal and thrive.

Frequently asked questions

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, therapy is confidential. However, there are special circumstances that, for your safety or the safety of others, confidentiality can be broken. If you have any concerns about confidentiality, bring it up in the free consultation so that Dr. Ramírez can answer your questions.

How does therapy work?

The process of therapy is dynamic and will vary depending on the person seeking therapy, the reason for therapy, and their readiness to be in therapy. Typically, therapy is a place where a person can talk safely about their thoughts, feelings, needs, wants, and behaviors. It is also a place where you can be challenged in order to address your problems and meet your therapy goals.

Do you accept insurance?

All Good Things is an insurance-friendly practice. While I'm not in network with any insurance companies, I've partnered with Mentaya to help you use your out-of-network benefits for potential reimbursement on therapy. Out-of-network benefits allow you to choose a therapist based on your needs, not just your insurance provider list. Typically, you pay upfront and may be reimbursed by your insurance after meeting a deductible. This flexibility helps you prioritize quality care and the right therapeutic fit.

What kind of therapy do you offer?

I provide an integrated form of therapy consisting of: the body, mind, soul, biology, and culture. Therefore, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with understanding thoughts, feelings, behaviors, bodily sensations, and context along with developmental psychology, relational psychoanalytic therapies, and a trauma-informed lens.
