1. Definitions
For the purposes of this Disclaimer:
"Company," "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to All Good Things Psychological Services Professional Corporation, a California Professional Corporation authorized to operate in Nevada as a foreign entity.
"Site" refers to the website located at allgoodthingsps.com.
"Services" refers to all services described on the Site, including individual psychotherapy, immigration psychological evaluations, workshops, trainings, consulting, and public speaking engagements.
"You" means any individual accessing or using the Site.
2. Website Content Is Not Clinical Advice
Plain English Summary: Reading this website is not therapy. Blog posts, FAQs, and general information on this site are educational only. Please do not use any content here as a substitute for working with a licensed mental health professional.
The information provided on this Site — including blog articles, FAQs, descriptions of therapeutic approaches, and any other written content — is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute, and should not be construed as, psychological advice, diagnosis, assessment, or treatment.
No content on this Site creates a clinician-patient relationship. Only a formal, documented therapeutic engagement — initiated through informed consent and governed by a separate clinical services agreement — establishes a professional relationship between you and Dr. Norma Ramirez, Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
3. Distinction Between Service Types
Plain English Summary: Not all services listed here are therapy. Individual therapy creates a therapeutic relationship. Immigration evaluations are professional assessments — not therapy. Workshops, trainings, and public speaking are educational and do not create any clinical relationship.
The services offered through All Good Things Psychological Services PC include both clinical and non-clinical services, which carry different professional and ethical obligations:
Individual Psychotherapy (therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, and belonging): Creates a formal therapeutic relationship governed by HIPAA, California Business and Professions Code § 2900 et seq., Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 641, ethical standards of the American Psychological Association, and your signed informed consent documentation.
Immigration Psychological Evaluations: Constitute professional psychological assessments, not psychotherapy. These evaluations do not create an ongoing therapeutic relationship. They are governed by applicable professional standards, but are distinct from the ongoing clinician-patient relationship established in psychotherapy.
Workshops, Trainings, Consulting, and Guest Lecturing/Public Speaking: Are educational services only and do not create a therapeutic, evaluative, or clinician-patient relationship of any kind.
4. Licensing and Jurisdictional Scope
Plain English Summary: Dr. Ramirez is licensed in California and Nevada. She can legally provide telehealth therapy only to clients physically located in those states at the time of each session. If you're outside California or Nevada, she legally cannot provide you with therapy through this practice.
Dr. Norma Ramirez is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist licensed in:
California — California Board of Psychology (Business and Professions Code § 2900 et seq.)
Nevada — Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners (NRS Chapter 641)
Telehealth therapy services are provided exclusively to adults physically located in California or Nevada at the time of service, consistent with California's telehealth standards (16 CCR § 1396.8) and Nevada Revised Statutes § 629.515. Accessing this Site from outside these states does not entitle you to telehealth therapy services from this practice.
5. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Plain English Summary: Therapy is a collaborative process and outcomes vary from person to person. We can't guarantee specific results, and nothing on this website should be read as promising a particular therapeutic outcome.
Psychological services, even when provided by a skilled and experienced clinician, do not guarantee any particular outcome. Individual results vary based on many factors, including the nature and complexity of presenting concerns, the individual's engagement in the therapeutic process, and other personal and environmental factors.
Nothing on this Site should be interpreted as a promise or guarantee of any specific therapeutic result.
6. Accuracy of Information and Errors
Plain English Summary: We work to keep our website current and accurate, but laws, clinical research, and best practices evolve. Don't rely solely on this website for clinical, legal, or diagnostic decisions.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on this Site is current and accurate. However, given the evolving nature of clinical research, professional standards, and applicable laws in both California and Nevada, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free.
We reserve the right to make additions, deletions, or modifications to Site content at any time without prior notice.
7. External Links
Plain English Summary: We sometimes link to outside resources or websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
This Site may contain links to third-party websites, including the client portal (SimplePractice/allgoodthings.clientsecure.me), professional organizations, and other resources. These links are provided for informational convenience. AGTPS does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party site.
8. Confidentiality and Mandatory Reporting Exceptions
Plain English Summary: Confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy — and the law requires us to protect your privacy. But there are legal exceptions where disclosure is required. These apply to actual clinical services, not just website visits.
Confidentiality obligations applicable to clinical services are governed by HIPAA, the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (Civil Code § 56 et seq.), California Evidence Code §§ 1010–1027 (psychotherapist-patient privilege), and Nevada Revised Statutes § 49.225 (psychologist-patient privilege) and § 629.061.
Legal exceptions to confidentiality include, but are not limited to:
Imminent risk of harm to self or others (California Welfare & Institutions Code § 5150; Nevada Revised Statutes § 629.550 — duty to warn)
Mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect (California Penal Code § 11166; Nevada Revised Statutes § 432B.220)
Mandatory reporting of suspected elder or dependent adult abuse (California Welfare & Institutions Code § 15630)
Court orders or valid legal process
Disclosure authorized by the client
These exceptions are detailed more fully in your HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and informed consent documentation, which govern the actual provision of clinical services.
9. Fair Use of Copyrighted Material
Content on this Site, including blog articles and educational materials, is the original work of AGTPS unless otherwise noted. If we reference or link to copyrighted material, we do so under fair use principles (17 U.S.C. § 107) for purposes of education, commentary, or criticism.
